About Us

Thank you for visiting our “About Us” page where we’d like to take a few moments to share some history about MAFMCA.

In 1990, four local fellas became the founding members of the Montour Antique Farm Machinery Collectors Association –  Ben Trapani, Paul Roup, Larry Swanger and Mike Mausteller.

Our first show was held at small local farm market at the time called Diehl’s Farm Market in 1991 – the show consisted of just a few members showing their tractors and enjoying some time with folks coming to the farm market.

The following year (1992), our club coordinated a bit larger and more organized show on September 5 and 6 at the Montour Delong Fair Grounds in Washingtonville, Pennsylvania, (a two-day show).  The tractor pulls originally were held where the fairgrounds parking lot is currently located.

A new pulling track was installed in 1993, which is where we pull today and where we still hold tractor pulls the last Saturday in April through our show in September (and sometimes in October) and also at the Montour Delong Fair.

Our annual show went to a three-day show eventually and is held on Labor Day weekend and still at the Montour-DeLong Fair grounds.  Over the years, we’ve added a flea market, antique farm equipment displays and demonstrations, hay wagon rides, barrel rides and a play area for kids, pedal pulls for all ages, fireworks, all types of food concessions in addition to the Fair’s own food concessions, country music playing all through show grounds, Chinese auction, toy displays and a featured tractor every year.

We’ll be there every Friday, Saturday & Sunday of Labor Day weekend annually – and hope to see you sometime!
